the Fair Lane Music Guild is being allowed to use the Pool Room for these concerts.

Local favorites Abha and Steven Dearing make their debut at the Fair Lane Music Guild, opening up the Guild’s 42nd anniversary season. The evening promises to be an intriguing one, as the duo presents music for voice/guitar, flute/guitar and solo guitar. The program will include an eclectic mix of composers from Europe and the Americas, and will feature works from their critically acclaimed recordings.

Please join us for an evening of wonderful music featuring two 20-voice choral ensembles conducted by G. Kevin Dewey, director of choirs at Henry Ford Community College. Vanguard Chorale is a group of Vanguard Voices members who enjoy singing at community events while helping to publicize the full 70-voice mixed choir. The women of Renaissance Voices enjoy performing the finest in treble choral literature in
a variety of styles and languages. The concert will feature A Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten, with harp accompaniment, and Magnificat by Antonio Vivaldi. Other musical selections will include sacred and secular carols of the season, ending with an audience sing-along!

Gabriel Bolkosky and Rachel Noyes will explore the simplicity and surprising complexity of the violin duo, bringing the music of such master composers as Prokofiev, Bartok and Bach. Bolkosky and Noyes studied chamber music and violin under the guidance of the great Cleveland Quartet. Come see what two violins can do!

The Fair Lane Music Guild is thrilled to welcome back the Berick & Martin Duo in recital. A prizewinner at the 1993 Naumburg competition and a recipient of the 1996-97 Prix Opus, U. of M. faculty member Yehonatan Berick is in high demand as soloist, recitalist and chamber musician throughout North America, Europe and Israel. Well known to Detroit audiences, pianist Pauline Martin’s solo and chamber recordings have earned a first-round Grammy nomination and the prestigious Chamber Music America/WQXR-FM award. Join us for another “absolutely memorable evening” on April 11, 2012!
